As we (hopefully) bid a not-so-fond farewell to those days of pandemic-induced lockdowns, we can now immerse ourselves in the world of hybrid work.
Hybrid seems to be the standard way of working these days: partly in the office, partly from any other location you want (and if you can work on the beach, then I'm very envious!). Indeed, this Accenture study says that 83% of people prefer hybrid.
However, handling hybrid workplaces is far from easy, and causes all sorts of knock-on situations, some harder than others. To wit:
- It puts yet another layer of complexity on top of work that is probably already too complex
- Suburban co-working spaces are on the rise, competing against employees' own office spaces
- Many companies are trying to push employees back into the office, causing big backlashes
- Hybrid work means different access to resources and different visibility, which affects power and influence at work, especially for women
One thing's for sure: there's no one solution.
The best way for you and your team to find the right hybrid solution is to work it out as a team.
Learn how to get your team hybrid-happy
We've teamed up with the lovely Gamestorming folks, to bring you a Gamestorming "Excursion' workshop about hybrid work.
This workshop is for you if you want to lead an interactive conversation with a team, to help them work out what "hybrid' means for them, and how to "hybrid' better together. AND you can expand your facilitation skills at the same time.
Here's what you get:
- 2.5 hours of online workshop time, plus optional 30mins "office hours' Q&A afterwards
- Experience 10 different Gamestorming games to help you lead fun and effective hybrid meetings
- Experience different ways of using tech to bring physical and digital together
- An agenda that you can take back to your own team, to get your team hybrid-happy
- Meet and network with others facing similar challenges
And all for $48USD, or ~$69AUD per person.
You can check out all the workshop details and register on the Gamestorming website here.
